We regularly deliver surfboards, apparel, and hardware both nationally and internationally. Everything you should need to know is below, but if you have any questions dont hesitate to get in contact.
Shipping surfboards has become expensive. We really appreciate our nationwide audience so do our best to offer reasonable rates. We spend a long amount of time packing board properly and safely, and don’t charge for this time. Shipping charges simply cover the courier fee and packing materials. Surfboards up to 8’0 usually cost £80 (exludes highlands and islands). Surfboards larger than this need to be quoted on an individual basis, but typically cost around £120. We typically dispatch boards within one to two full working days of completion/order. We use parcelforce and DHL to deliver surfboards on a two working day timeframe.
Smaller items such as t-shirts, fins, hardware etc. will be dispatched next day unless otherwise stated. Delivery is by second class postage with Royal Mail or Parcelforce and should arrive within 2 to 3 working days.
Orders over £80 for small items (excluding surfboards) will receive free second class shipping (excluding highlands and islands).
Cooper Surfboards reserve the right to advise and amend shipping charges after your order in the case of increased shipping fees e.g. highlands and islands, and outsized surfboards.
We regularly ship surfboards internationally, simply email us with your shipping address along with the board and size you are interested in. Alternatively order online as normal and email us with your shipping address, we’ll quote you and await confirmation before beginning your board. If you are not happy with the quote we can refund your order as long as the board has not begun production. The customer will be responsible for any import charges applied to the product.
Free collection is available from our workshop. We always prefer to meet you in person and ensure your board gets to you safely. It also gives us a chance for a factory tour and an insight into how every board is made. We’re just 10 minutes from some of the best waves in the South West so provide the perfect excuse for a trip down. Please arrange in advance to make sure we’re not off running errands. We can normally open out of hours for collection upon request as the workshop is just down the road (subject to availability).
We’ll always combine delivery where possible to get you the best shipping rates. If you’re ordering multiple boards, these can sometimes be boxed together (maximum of 2) to save on delivery fees. We’ll always box hardware and accessories (fins, leashes tshirts etc.) with your board as there’s plenty of room for these.
While we do everything we can to prevent damage and breakage within the courier system, accidents do happen, and once the board is in the couriers hands it is out of our control. Our couriers do offer a limited level of cover for damage. In the case of goods arriving damaged it’s important to take photo’s of the damage to the board and any visible damage or wear on the box/packaging. This is the first thing the courier claims team will ask for to open a claim. There is a 30 day period in which you can lodge a damage claim so it’s important to message us as soon as possible to resolve the issue.
Our couriers do offer extended protection that covers the full price of the board, this is normally an additional £30, please get in touch if this is something you’d like to take out.

While we promise to do the best of our ability on every surfboard to produce an end result we are proud of and you are happy with, we understand sometimes this may not meet your expectations. In this case, please voice your grievances with us so we can do our utmost to find a solution. Returns must be in a brand new, un-surfed and un-waxed condition to be considered for a refund.
We understand situations change, in the case of a cancelled order or change of mind, a partial or full refund of the deposit may be available, however this will be determined on a case-by-case basis and a refund of any amount of the deposit can not be guaranteed. In this case, please voice your grievances with us so we can do our utmost to find a solution. In the case that your surfboard is completed and a full or partial refund of your deposit has been agreed upon by us, this will be made available to you once we’ve been able to recuperate some of the costs we’ve incurred in building your custom surfboard.
In the case of damaged items we offer a full repair service to get your board back in the water to the highest quality possible. For more information simply email us some photos of the damage and we’ll be able to offer a quote for repair. In the case of a faulty product, we rarely get a bad batch of materials, but if your board is acting unusually or wearing/breaking faster than you would expect drop us an email with some photos and we can advise how to proceed.
